Easy Front Door Upgrade

A really fun way to change up your space is to paint the inside of a door. I feel like the surface of a door is not something that people usually think to paint, but it really can bring so much drama to a room!

Here is my front door, all white and boring before:

After I painted the door  MyColor™ inspired by Pantone’s “Skylight” all over (first you want to sand your door lightly with a little hand sander). A quart is the perfect size for this project! Anyway, I basecoated the whole thing, then let it dry over night. After that, I taped off the bevels, and painted them “Phantom”…

and, tada! I love the result:

Isn’t that a surprising way to bring color into your room? Any of you guys have cool projects where you brought color to a space in an unexpected way?

Love the black detail with the aqua door – so much better than just painting it a solid color!
